James Iannotti over at MMAMania wrote a great article that spells out why the debut of Elite XC's mixed martial arts debut on CBS was so terrible. The sad thing is that although I don't care much for EliteXC, I do care about MMA and I wanted to see mature, athletic competitions and this whole thing was a nightmare.
